It's 6pm central time and we've just checked into the Quality Inn east of Independence, MO. Our original plan was to make it to Topeka, but with our early start and questionable driving weather for tomorrow, we decided to push it. Besides, driving the width of Kansas in the dead of winter isn't all that exciting
We stopped in Salina, KS for lunch. Tony's nephew, Junior used to live there. Typical great plains small town. Nothing really to report. Tony did most of the driving. The roads were sleet covered at times. Now Tony knows what windshield washers are for!
We're planning to get into O'Fallon shortly after noon tomorrow. So we'll be getting up, grabbing some breakfast and hitting the road. Will write from Illinois.

Sounds like you are having a GREAT time...we miss you! Your house is still twinkling and your, not so little girl is getting on just fine. Now hurry up and come home ;)
